Building a Community For The Perpetuation of Traditional Arts of the Islands
Hawaii Music Live has teamed up with Kama'aina Travel and Dave Palmer, founder of the long-time Aloha Music Series at the Shannon Center at Whittier College, and former Artistic Director at Soka University to put together the next annual 'DISCOVER HAWAII TRAVEL SERIES', this summer on the Kona coast - June 5-12, 2019.
Staying at the beautiful Royal Kona Hotel, each day will be filled with excursions to sacred sites or mo'olelo (stories) from kupuna, musicans or cultural specialists that tell the epic story of how the fierce warrior 'Kamehameha The Great' united the Hawaiian Islands. We will end our tour with the Lei Draping and Parade in Kohala at THE original Kamehameha staute on Kamehameha Day - June 11!
